What it is
For windows wider than a printer bed: a frame of printable bays that each take a module, such as a hose outlet, blank, cable pass-through, filter or weather hood.
How to measure
Open the window to the gap you want and measure its width and height. Set the panel slightly smaller so it drops in. Measure every hose you will connect and the space the unit has to fit. Check large parts against your printer bed in the Workshop before exporting.
Print tips
- The export already places every component in its recommended print orientation. Keep supports off sleeves, sockets and any sliding or tight-fit surface so they stay smooth; if your slicer asks for supports, paint them only where an outside overhang needs them.
- Print in PETG or ASA if the air is warm or the part sits in the sun.
- Seals and liners are separate objects in their own material group; print them in TPU or another flexible filament.
- The “To buy” list shows the purchased hardware it needs.
Frequently asked questions
- What size should I measure?
- Open the window to the gap you want and measure its width and height. Set the panel slightly smaller so it drops in. Measure every hose you will connect and the space the unit has to fit. Check large parts against your printer bed in the Workshop before exporting.
- What should I print it in?
- PLA or PETG both work for dust collection at room temperature. Print in PETG or ASA if the air is warm or the part sits in the sun. Use 3–4 perimeters for an airtight wall; infill matters much less than wall count for ducts. Seals and liners are separate objects in their own material group; print them in TPU or another flexible filament.
- What hardware do I need to buy?
- It depends on the options you choose. The “To buy” list in the designer shows exactly what your sizes need.
- Does it need supports?
